The HELRAISERS is a team of charity fund-raisers. It draws its members from the customers, suppliers, friends and family of members of staff of the Hertfordshire based scientific instrument manufacturer HEL. The HELRAISERS sponsorship has generally been drawn from the same sources as its members although in addition HEL has always taken the extremely generous view that it would match any contributions made by members of staff. There are many charities worthy of support and each HELRAISER has his own charities with which he feels particular empathy. However each fund-raising event is targetted at a different beneficiary so as to spread resources as widely as possible. It is clear that the various challenges that the HELRAISERS undertake offer rewards to the participants beyond the simple satisfaction of raising money for good causes; bearing this in mind all challenges undertaken by the HELRAISERS are funded entirely by the participants and all monies received as donations or sponsorship are transferred directly to the supported charity.
